This year's award ISKRA was awarded for the fifth time, and the ceremony sent a message to the public about the importance of cultivating the right values â€‹â€‹in society and encourage each individual to give and support those who need it most.
Award given to individuals and companies who are developing philanthropy in Montenegro
Fund for Active Citizenship (fAKT) awarded on December 9th, at the Royal Theatre “Zetski dom” in Cetinje, annual awards to entities that were involved in the previous year in development of philanthropy and spreading the values â€‹â€‹of solidarity and humanity in Montenegro.
Award for contribution to the local community received company Neckom from Niksic; Bosniac Association of people from Plav and Gusinje “Behar” was awarded for the contribution of diaspora; while Mrs. Nada Radimir received the award for individual contribution. Mrs. Radimir returned a large number of objects of artistic, historical, cultural and ethnographic significance of Montenegro from the heritage of the famous naval family. A special Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded posthumously to Mr. Pavle Popovic, a Montenegrin who lived in Argentina and constantly helped his homeland with his charity.
In addition to ISKRA (“Spark”) awards, the organizers decided to grant five additional special recognitions: for contribution for development of philanthropy to the Prince Nikola Petrovic; for civic contribution to Mrs. Anka Djurisic, director of the Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities “Path” from Podgorica; for media contribution to Mrs. Marijana Bojanic, deputy director of TV Vijesti; special recognition for local community development to Adriatic Marinas – Porto Montenegro and special recognition for corporate philanthropy to Montenegrin Telekom.

Jubilee award ISKRA was organized by fAKT, in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Directorate of Diaspora and the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism, with the support of the European Commission (through the support to civil society (Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) Civil Society Facility (CSF)), Foundation “Cano Koprivica”, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Siemens and ING Invest.
